I think that it end with the line “I wish you had made me so that i could die” because how we know people in the factory just can made than but they never can be destroyed, means that even thought that they get inside water they just can be broken in litter peace but never destroyed because they continue be a bag..

I think that he said that he is useless to the animals because we know that just the people can use the bags.

This film connect to this class because its show existentialism. A example of this is when the bad wanted to find the woman. natural sciences also known as the “hard sciences” include biology, chemistry, physics, etc. whereas, social sciences (soft science) studies people on the individual and societal levels. Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology can all be classified as the social sciences. They also used different methodology: the findings of the natural sciences can usually be duplicated in a laboratory setting. Social science experiments have to take population dynamics and other variables into consideration. With social sciences, sometimes the results aren’t as clean.

Moral Dilemma

The gilr had to choose between coming to U.S or staying in Honduras.Another moral dilema is when the boy have to endure all the kicks to be in the gang..

I’m just want you to know that me Godot symbolized hope, so that its all that you need to have”HOPE” this is what all we need in life and never give up. In my opinion the play “waiting for Godot” its represent absurdism because its shows that Estragon does not have a lot of hope. Also its shows that even thought they continue in waiting for Godot, every day that is passing they see it that “Godot” never came. And even thought Vladimir is who always shows hope, he also give up from what he want and what they are looking for..I think this play want to show us how complicate and bored is life because sometime we have to do the same thing every day and we never get the meaning..

Ithink that Waiting for Godot and the life in the bronx have alot of things in similar..

“waiting for godot”

Many Homeless people.
Poor
Many people are looking for things that they want.
Chances to find someone to love them.
They never give up.
not treated fairly.

“life in the bronx”

Chances to find someone to love them.
Homeless.
Opportunities.
never give up, even thought life is hard.
They trying to have a better place to live.
not a place were anybody want to live.

It is very difficult to those people that just came in to the bronx( immigrants), because they think that the life in here is the same as they country but is not true ..life in the brorx and in all the states in U.S is very hard..you have to work for the things that you do not have and if you do not have a lot of money you would have to be a homeless to such as ..Estragon, Vladimir,ect..

1. Estragon-

An adult who is homeless, was beaten up in a corner outside, hungry, and lonely guy.

Vladimir –

Believes in god and talks about the bible and salvation. a lonley man who doesn’t have a house to live,

Lucky –

Pozzo’s slave, talk’s alot, carries everything for pozzo, goes everywhere with him too.

Pozzo –

A slave master. An owner,

Godot –

An unknown person

Estragon connects to Human Condition because when he slept in the corner he was beaten up and it shows that his Human Condition is bad/low because he slept in the streets.

Irony –

When estragon feet were hurting alot but he didnt take them off for days, so its an Irony because he has to know it was going to hurt.

Allusion –

When vladimir talks about the Bible in Waiting for Godot.

Is when you mention a work of art in another work of art.

Representation of an idea in a study.

Example: “The Alchemist” is a representation of the journey that people have to make to achieve or reach their personal legend or goal.

Example from “Waiting for Godot” In this case the same characters, Estragon and Vladimir are an allegory because they are looking for meaning of their lives.

Repetition

Saying an idea over and over again to emphasize something.

Example: “I’m going…Im going….im going” estragon.

Example from “Waiting for Godot” Through the play Estragon and Vladimir keep repeating “Nothing to be done” estragon repeat these words many times

.Allusion

A brief reference to a person, event, place or literary work.

Example: Scary movie: in here we can see how in a single movie they make reference to a lot of other movies. It still scary movie, but they act out the other movies.

Example from “Waiting for Godot” Reference to the bible. Vladimir talks a lot about the bible and later on Estragon make reference to Christ…So even thought they are talking about the bible then they go to another thing that may connect to what they were talking about.

This poem connect to existentialism because existentialism is the idea that says life has no meaning and it doesn’t make sense, but if we look for a personal meaning we will find it. And in the poem its showing to us that all of this poem does not main senses. A quote that show us existentialism is when its says “From my grave, I wake in peace”. this show like this person is looking for the meaning of life, when its say i wake in peace is like if that is the reason why we are in the earth.

Setting:

Besides being in under a tree that is close to a road, they are in a lonely place where only homeless people would like to be. They are in a place with a lot of ground and it is dark because of the evening.

Character:

Estragon

Vladimir

Conflict:

Three probable problems:

Estragon is having struggles taking off his boots but Vladimir is not helping him. Estragon and Vladimir might be senile because of the age and therefore they do not know where they are and what they are doing.

Conections:

Connection to Existentialism.Vladimir even though had a long time without seeing Estragon, he still have the strength to keep going and follow Estragon. Even though Estragon and Vladimir are homeless, they persevere in looking for a better place to live. Vladimir pays attention to the little things that happen in the world.
A line that shows this is when its say,” I’m glad to see you back I thought you were gone forever.

Prediction:

Vladimir and Estragon will take the action of leaving their present place to go somewhere else to look for a job and better life.
Because they are close to the road, someone on a car will get them in order to stop them from being homeless.

Jackson Pollock’s “Painting No. 28

I think the painting of Jackson Pollock connect to “absurdism” because its shows that this painting does not may sense. Also that even thought is looks like that Jackson Pollock was doing this painting without purpose or sense. Also i think this painting illustrated the confusion of many people that think that the life doesn’t have or makes sense.

Also the painting “Bohemia Lies by the Sea” by Anselm Keifer, I think its connect to existentialism. Existentialism is the belief that the world doesn’t makes sense but that you can find their own meaning or own purpose for life. Why I say that this painting connect to existentialism is because as you can see in the painting its shows a path, that I think is mean that you can find the meaning of this painting or purpose.

This is another image that I think is connect to existentialism. Here you can see a woman like in a garden, but its look like something else. In the background of the painting, you can see a soldier but it also looks as an angel that is looking the girl, it have the hand open like if it going to take the woman. I think this painting connects to existentialism because even thought that everything is like dirty or something like that around the woman, she like looking for something or someone and other person are watching her too.
